The Nurse Aide training program is an 11-week program that prepares a student to become a vital member of the health care team in the role of a nurse aide caring for residents in skilled nursing facilities, hospitals, rehab centers, and other healthcare facilities.

Program topics include how to bathe/shower and dress a resident, denture care, how to properly feed a resident, how to get them into or out of a bed or chair, privacy, infection control and resident rights.

A student successfully completing this program will receive a certificate of completion from Tec Centro Lebanon and HACC, Central Pennsylvania’s Community College, and will be eligible to take the National Nurse Aide Assessment Program examination administered by Credentia.

Upon passing both the NNAAP written and skills performance exam, the student is placed on the PA Nurse Aide Registry. (A student who successfully completes the nurse aide training program can be employed for 120 days before they must take the NNAAP examination.)

Medical Records and Billing Specialists (MRBS) are key staff members who navigate the insurance process, understand coverage, verify benefits, apply codes for billing and often work with patients to explain invoices. This 485-hour program is delivered over 23 weeks and includes a hands-on internship at a local medical practice. Students will learn medical terminology, become familiar with the general workflow of a medical practice, gain an understanding of medical insurance and billing and will learn PC skills such as keyboarding and basic use of electronic health records. A student successfully completing this program will receive a
certificate from both Tec Centro Lebanon and Reading Area Community College (RACC), and will be prepared to take the American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC) examination for Certified Professional Coder (CPC). Academic program provided by Tec Centro Lebanon in partnership with Reading Area Community College (RACC).

The Medical Assistant/CCMA program is a 5-month FULL-TIME or 7 month PART-TIME program that prepares a student to become a Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA).

This program includes an introduction to healthcare, medical terminology, anatomy, human illness and disease, and essential skills training. Medical Assistants help with the examination and treatment of patients under the direction of a physician, interview patients, measure vital signs, and record information for medical records. Medical Assistants may be required to draw and collect blood samples and prepare specimens for laboratory analysis.

A student successfully completing this program will receive a certificate of completion from Tec Centro Lebanon and HACC, Central Pennsylvania’s Community College, and will take the National Healthcareer Association’s Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) certification examination and be prepared to work as an entry-level medical assistant.

The Certified Phlebotomy Technician program is a 22-week part-time program that includes 100 hours of classroom/lab instruction and concludes with an 80-hour clinical/externship experience. Phlebotomy technicians are critical team members in hospitals, diagnostic laboratories, and physician offices. They draw blood from patients, explain the blood-drawing procedure to patients and help them feel comfortable, obtain urine and other specimens for testing, and maintain medical equipment and supplies. A student will learn proper blood-drawing and specimen collection techniques, how to maintain lab safety and infection control, proper requisitioning methods, and specimen transportation and processing.

A student successfully completing this program will receive a certificate of completion from Tec Centro Lebanon and HACC, Central Pennsylvania’s Community College, and will take the National Healthcareer Association’s Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) certification examination.

The Dental Assistant is a 27-week program that prepares participants for an entry-level career in the dental field. This program includes essential skills and CPR training. Students in the class will gain the knowledge and skills to assist with dental treatments and help others maintain their oral health, how to perform procedures, process radiographs, perform chairside, laboratory procedures, and other office duties. Our curriculum allows you to spend a total of 160 hours working in a variety of dental office settings where you can be exposed to all aspects of dental practice.

Students successfully completing this program will receive a Certificate of Completion and will be eligible to take the Radiation Health & Safety Certification (RHS) endorsed by DANB (Dental Assisting National Board)

The Healthcare Office Assistant (HOA) program is an 11-week educational program that prepares the student for an entry-level position in an outpatient healthcare setting or patient access center. This program includes medical terminology and essential skills training. Students will become familiar with the general workflow of an outpatient medical practice, gain an understanding of medical insurance, and will be exposed to basic PC skills and the basic use of electronic medical records.

A student successfully completing this program will receive a certificate of completion from Tec Centro Lebanon and HACC, Central Pennsylvania’s Community College.
