Lebanon, PA – After a heavy snowfall that kept many of us home, WEPA staff and students returned to the office, ready to shake off the winter chill and jump back into a busy week of learning, training, and community support. Here’s a look at everything happening around WEPA this week.

Healthcare Training Continues Strong

Our healthcare programs picked up right where they left off after the snow delay. The Phlebotomy students are continuing their off‑site clinical experiences this week, gaining valuable hands-on practice in real healthcare environments. Meanwhile, the Fall Medical Assistant students are deep into their skill-building sessions, working through key lessons that support their future roles in clinics, practices, and other medical settings. The Nurse Aide trainees are officially in Week 26 of their program, continuing to build essential caregiving skills through focused instruction and practice.

Adult Education & Community Learning

Our adult learning programs are also moving full steam ahead this week. Students in English as a Second Language, led by instructor Wanda Sunkel, are building confidence in conversation, reading, and writing as they progress through the intermediate levels. English as a Second Language Level 1, taught by Deb, is welcoming newer learners and helping them establish a strong foundation in essential English communication skills.

The High School Equivalency preparation program (HiSet) is active throughout the week as well, supporting adults who are working toward achieving this important credential and opening new opportunities for employment and education.

An Information Session is also scheduled this week, giving prospective students the chance to learn more about WEPA’s programs, financial options, and enrollment process.

A Strong Week Ahead

Even with winter’s challenges, WEPA is lively and full of momentum. From healthcare training to ESL instruction, from High School Equivalency preparation to internal collaboration, this week showcases the heart of WEPA’s mission: opening doors, expanding opportunity, and strengthening the community we serve.

Here’s to another productive and inspiring week, and to brighter, less snowy days ahead
